Hey, I’m Dan. I write honest, no-hype reviews of weird, underrated, or just plain cool games I stumble across on Steam. Nothing fancy — just real thoughts from someone who loves to play.
I made this blog because I wanted a space to talk about games the way I actually experience them — no overthinking, no fluff. Just me, Steam, and whatever game caught my eye that week.
Sometimes it’s a hidden gem, sometimes it’s something totally weird — but if it sticks with me, I’ll write about it.
I’m not a pro reviewer. I’m just Dan, sharing what I liked (or didn’t), hoping it helps someone else find their next favorite game.
That’s really it. Just honest takes from a guy who games.

Here’s what I’ve been playing lately. Some games surprised me, some frustrated me, and a few completely pulled me in. I jot down my honest thoughts right after the session — no polishing, just real talk.

Tactical, gritty, and absolutely nerve-wracking — “Ready or Not” puts you in the boots of a SWAT officer on missions that feel too real.
May 28, 2025
Massive, brutal, and strangely quiet — Dune: Awakening drops you into the unforgiving desert of Arrakis and says, “Figure it out.”
May 22, 2025
A dark, twisted take on Pinocchio wrapped in a brutal Soulslike shell — Lies of P is as beautiful as it is merciless.

GalGun 2 – Pole Position Pin-up* is chaotic, cheeky, and totally unfiltered. It's a rail shooter with anime madness turned up to eleven.

Got a few games I’ve been playing lately but haven’t finished writing about yet. Reviews are coming — just need more coffee, screenshots, and a couple more rage-quits. Stay tuned, they’re on the way.

A survival horror game where the woods feel more alive — and more hostile — than they should. Creepy, tense, and very hard to put down.
July 2, 2025
A road trip like no other: you're stuck in a car, surrounded by supernatural storms, and somehow, it’s all your problem now.
July 10, 2025
A haunting open-world shooter with radioactive danger, weird anomalies, and the constant feeling that something’s watching you.
July 11, 2025
A deeply weird, bio-corporate nightmare shooter with visuals that look like a fever dream and mechanics that punish you for thinking normally. It’s a ride.

Not everything I write ends up as a full review. Sometimes it’s just random thoughts, things I notice while gaming, or weird little moments I want to remember. So here’s a bunch of them — straight from my brain to this blog.

Every now and then, I get messages asking what I think about certain titles. Some of them I’ve already started playing, others I’m just now adding to the list. Here are a few I’ve been nudged about — yep, they’re on my radar.
Strange, atmospheric, and full of mystery — I’ve had a few people ask, and yeah, this one's definitely on my radar.
No idea what I’m walking into here, but the mix of chaos and charm makes it way too interesting to skip.
Tried it once, bounced off, but so many of you keep recommending it — I’m giving it another shot soon.
This one came out of nowhere — thanks for the nudge. I still remember the jumpscares in the menus. Might be time to revisit.

Not always. If a game really doesn’t click with me, I’ll still write about it — just from the perspective of someone who gave it a fair shot. I’d rather be honest than pretend I finished something I didn’t enjoy.
Because I’m not a magazine — I’m just one guy with opinions. I’d rather tell you why something worked or didn’t work for me, and let you decide if that matters to you.
I try to keep them that way unless I give a heads-up. If I ever mention something story-related, it’s usually vague or buried far enough that you can skip it. I hate getting spoiled too, trust me.
I play what I can get my hands on, usually just stuff I buy or that’s been sitting on my backlog forever. If something changes, I’ll mention it directly in the post. No hidden stuff here.
Yes, please do! I’ve already played a couple games that were reader suggestions, and it’s actually been fun to check out stuff I might’ve skipped otherwise. Just drop me a message through the contact page.
Yep. Right now it’s a mix of Slay the Spire and Deep Rock Galactic. Some games are just for me, no notes, no reviews — just a cup of coffee and a quiet evening with dwarves and card decks.
